· Must fix my questionnaire- my target audience is residents who are currently doing hydroponics. Thus, don’t need to ask whether participants have knowledge on hydroponics.
· Firstly, ask them what type of system they have.
· Put pictures because some participants may not know the difference between horizontal and vertical hydroponics system.
· Make sure and cite the photos.
· Ask what problems they have with the system
· Factors looking at: sunlight exposure, space availability, production rate, cost
· How often do you irrigate or run your pump?
· What types of crops are grown in your system? - leave coverage
· Summarize results and put in report – questionnaire in appendix
· What land space they are currently using for the hydroponic system.
· What is their production rate? Weekly, fortnightly, monthly?
· Approximate cost to set up their system?
· Do you use your system for personal use or commercial use?
· If commercial, what profits do you make with this type of system used?
One horizontal system, suggest a few vertical systems.
All systems should have the same number of plants.
Draw how many net pots could be put on the system.
Area each covering, horizontal cover more area, vertical less coverage.
Horizontal is not a concept under final design.
Can use 3D on Autocad or SoildWorks
3 vertical systems.
Define clearly what is a vertical and horizontal system.
Send an updated document.
